Transport in Toulouse

Toulouse has a very good local transport network consisting of bus, tram, metro and special shuttles.
Tisseo is the name of the local transport service.
Check Tisseo website for latest rates and timetable (Alternatively you can use mobile apps mention in must have post.

For short stays, daily weekly pass is good.
For long stays, better to go for economical option - Tisseo Pastel Card.

Following is the procedure to get a Tisseo Card :-

1. Visit any of the Tisseo Agencies(Offices) :-
(Check website for updated locations/timings)

• Agency Airport (Terminal T2 Line Airport station - Parvis transport Hall C) Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 20:45 on Saturdays from 9 to 15:30 and on Sundays and public holidays (except May 1) from 15h30 to 22h.
• Arenas Agency (Lines A, T1 and T2)  from Monday to Friday from 6.30 to 19.45.
• Balma-Gramont Agency (Line A)  Monday through Friday from 6:30 to 19:45 and Saturday from 10:30 to 19h.
• Agency Basso-Cambo (Line A)  Monday through Friday from 6:30 to 19:45 and Saturday from 10:15 to 12:40 and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m..
• Agency Jean Jaurès (Lines A and B)  from Monday to Saturday from 6.30 to 19.45.
• Agency Marengo SNCF (line A)  from Monday to Friday from 6:30 to 19:45, Saturday from 12:30 to 19:00 and on Sundays and holidays from 3:45 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. (except May 1).

Finding Accomodation

Finding Accommodation can be challenge in Toulouse if you are coming in the month of August/September because lot of Students arrive at the same time.

2. Airbnb :- It offers cheap/premium options with flexible options where you can directly contact landlord for extension and all.

Must Have Mobile Apps in Toulouse

If you are coming to Toulouse for the first time and or from another country or so, do install the following apps which can be helpful during your stay :-

1. Google Translate :- If you do not understand French, this is the most important app you should be having in your phone. From basic words for conversation and also to convert

2. Tisseo : Only Supports French language. But it is official Tisseo (Tisseo is the Local Transport Service in Toulouse which includes Bus, Tram, Metro and Operating Special Buses to/fro Airport).

3. Bus 31 : This app also gives information and timetable regarding Tisseo Transport Service. Best thing is it is English. But since it is not official, kindly keep it updated all the time to get the updated timetable.

4. Uber : If you are travelling after midnight or lost somewhere , it is better to keep Uber App ready in your mobile. Kindly make sure you have same currency (Euro) account linked with Uber or it may not work. Most of the Ubers are not available for cash payment voucher so keep your credit card ready.

5. Transferwise : For transferring money with minimum charges and faster. (Will update with more information soon). Also for new account, they have some promotional offers where they allow first transaction with 0% charges -  do check their official site for updates.
